| I have an SBS CR9 computer boots fine when the Quadia is not in the Elma rack, but does not boot when the Quadia is present. It gets through the keyboard initialization then hangs before the video comes on, beeping a hex '43' periodically. I wasn't able to make sense of '43' from the beep codes. Comments from anyone with relevant experience would be welcome. |

Several things might be causing this.
Check your power supply for adequate current. Quadia does draw a good amount of +5/3.3Vdc
14.5W typical for framework logic
+5V@2.1A, +3.3V@ 1.4A
If you have an adapter from PCI to cPCI try the Quixote in a standard desk top computer.
Check the SBS computer cPCI slot for speed. Quadia only can go as high as 66Mhz/64bit.
Quadia is PCI 2.1 make sure the slot its in is compatible. |
